The Houston Dynamo have defeated Vancouver Whitecaps 4-1 behind four different goal scorers.

The match started with a quick Yellow to Vancouver’s Ryan Raposo in the 2nd minute. The Dynamo would earn a Free Kick near the 13th minute and Hector Herrera would step up to take it. The Vancouver wall would deflect his Free Kick and the kick would find the back of the net to open the scoring. Andres Cubas would be issued a Yellow Card in the 24th minute. The Dynamo would be booked in the 30th minute and six minutes later—Sebastian Kowalczyk and then Erik Sviatchenko.

In the 44th minute, Griffin Dorsey would receive the ball and after getting to the box would be left with enough space for a shot. His shot found the top corner and doubled the Dynamo's lead. After no stoppage time, referee Fotis Bazakos blew for the end of the First Half.

The Second Half would start and in the 49th minute, Corey Baird would be issued a Yellow Card. Three minutes later, Dorsey would also be booked. The Dynamo would make two substitutions in the 57th minute, Brad Smith came in for Nelson Quinones and Ivan Franco for Kowalcyzk. Micael would be shown Yellow three minutes later to add to the list. The Dynamo would triple the lead in the 73rd minute in a play where both the substitutes were involved. Smith’s cross found Franco’s beautiful header. Ibrahim Aliyu would come on for Artur 5 minutes later. The Dynamo would add a fourth goal in the 84th minute when the ball fell for Aliyu inside the box but HH would come down after a tackle. Taking no risk, Brooklyn Raines would replace him shortly.

Unfortunately, in the dying minutes, Erik Sviatchenko converted an own goal to end the clean sheet in the 90th minute. After 5 minutes of stoppage time, the match was called and the Dynamo maintained their unbeaten streak.

The Men in Orange will now travel to Kansas to face them on Saturday, September 23 to continue the stretch of seven games in three weeks.
